OUR TOUR GUIDES

Our Tour Guides know this city's ghost stories inside and out as they have heard them all from the person who experienced it or have experienced it the themselves. They love their jobs and enjoy giving the tour as much as our guests enjoy taking it.

Our Tour Guides work hard to make sure their audience has a great time. Our Tour Guides are also Paranormal Investigators so they have lots of information to share and are happy to answer.

If you have an especially good time on your tour please feel free to throw them a couple of dollars in their hands (our current tour guides are company owners and they don't take a paycheck. They simply do it for the love of telling the stories) or throw them a shout out on Trip Advisor or Yelp as an 'attaboy' really brings them a smile!

We are currently looking for a back up Tour Guide (paid position) for the right person. Be sure to contact our office to find out how to apply.

DAYTON GARDNER, INVESTIGATOR; TOUR DIRECTOR; AUDIO/VISUAL TECH; SENSITIVE
Dayton is also co-owner of Terrell Paranormal. He is the primary reason the SPIRIT investigation team was formed. Since he was 14 years old, Dayton has been investigating paranormal activity and has become extraordinarily comfortable with the spirits on the other side. He's always had a fascination with the paranormal, but it's become his new normal since his whole family is involved.

Dayton is the audio/visual tech for the team, ensuring each piece of evidence is documented, and all equipment work properly. He is a reason we have material to present to our client that is legitimate and easily viewed. Dayton is also the coolest head on our team. His methods of disproving potential evidence is methodical. Dayton also possesses some abilities as a sensitive, and he can often point us in the right direction to get the best evidence.

He's very familiar with Terrell and the spirits there, and is our primary tour guide on Saturday nights. Don't let his young looks fool you, as he always gets rave reviews on his entertaining and personal stories! Dayton has a way of engaging his guests that no one else can.

When Dayton is not visiting with the spirits on the other side you will find him on any percussion instrument. He's extraordinarily active in the Crandall High School marching band and making music is his true passion. He plans to pursue a degree in music education,. When Dayton is not on his drums you'll usually find him sipping coffee at the closest coffee bar. You can also follow Dayton on YouTube's Pirate TV where he hosts the Crandall High School events every morning. Dayton begins his college degree in Psychology in the Fall.

MARY JO WOODRUFF, LEAD INVESTIGATOR; TOUR GUIDE; ARTIST

Mary Jo Woodruff has always had a fascination for the paranormal. She is part owner of Terrell Paranormal and lead investigator for S.P.I.R.I.T.

Mary Jo has a special interest in photographing the paranormal and has conducted much research and study in that area. She has successfully captured several anomalies in photos that cannot be explained. Although Mary Jo enjoys all aspects of paranormal investigation, photography is where she finds the most satisfaction.
When Mary Jo is not out chasing ghosts you'll find her on one of her many artistic projects. She lives with her husband, Leon, who was skeptical at first but now is open to the paranormal.

BRENDA NEWBY, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS; PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR

After suffering a serious autoimmune illness in 2012, Brenda had more questions about what came after this world than she did answers. By chance, a photograph snapped by Mary Jo Woodruff in Brenda's presence one evening in Jefferson, Texas captured an apparition. This led her to conduct extensive research into the paranormal. and because she was no longer suited to traditional employment , Brenda sought out ways to use the paranormal as a business model. She is determined to help people understand that what comes after this world is a beautiful thing, and that our loved ones are always around us. She is not here to make people believers. She simply wants to share her experiences with the rest of the world and help people find their own path by understanding there is more than what's here in the physical world.

Brenda is a paranormal investigator specializing in EVP analysis and manages Terrell Paranormal, the business. Currently, she is working on a certification as field investigator for the Mutual UFO Network.

Brenda believes there should be a standard for all paranormal investigations, and that all teams should be working together for the greater good of the field. Four years ago she wasn’t a believer in the paranormal. Now, you couldn't convince her otherwise, and she adamantly supports any forward momentum of the science.
She lives at home with her son and fellow investigator, Dayton, and her husband, Jason. They live with two boxers dogs who practically run the house. When Brenda's not out chasing ghosts you might find her on the pistol range.
